The Meeting with History in Cedynia will commemorate one of the most important victories of the Polish army. On the 24th of June 972 the combined forces of Mieszko and his brother Czicibor defeated the army of margrave Hodon and count Siegfried von Walbeck.

On the 17th - 19th of June 2011 will host the III Meeting with History. In the picturesque scenery of the mountain of Czcibor, there will stand a camp where among the tents and stalls one will be able to learn about the life as it was in the early middle ages. The following craftsmen:

potters

weavers

tanners

woodcarvers

blacksmiths

will present how the everyday life objects were made. There will also be warriors showing their skills and women will be preparing food according to early medieval recipes.

The visitors will have the opportunity to participate in many ancient games, such as:

tug-of-war

obstacle race

Kubb tournament

bow shooting

javelin throw

and many others. The highlight of the event will be the reenactment of the battle of 972.
